"A nutritious breakfast isn't just about filing empty stomachs; it's about nourishing young minds."
That's what Vicki Cutler, a branch manager at Prospera Credit Union in British Columbia, had to say after nominating the Feedway Foundation for a $5,000 grant to help feed kids in the Penticton area, per a release.
The Penticton Breakfast Club feeds kids in elementary and middle schools who would otherwise be hungry during the school day.
"When we invest in free programs such as the Penticton Breakfast Club, we're investing in brighter futures, improved academic performance, and healthier communities," Cutler says.
