The Community Foundation of Northern Illinois is offering up to $3,500 in grant funding to youth-led groups in four counties in the state, WIFR reports.
The funds are available through the In Youth We Trust program, which is open to groups in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, or Winnebago counties.
According to a press release, IYWT Council members recently surveyed hundreds of youth in the area to find out what issues are most concerning their age group.
The surveys found that mental health is a top concern, and IYWT Council aims to support projects and programs that address youth mental health through a unified approach for support at a community-wide level.
