The Bay Area Addiction Research and Treatment (BAART) has been awarded a grant from the State Opioid Response, often known as SOR-2. Using methadone or buprenorphine in conjunction with therapy, BAART provides medication-assisted treatment for substance abuse disorders. Withdrawal symptoms and opioid cravings are reduced by the drugs, minimizing the likelihood of relapsing into addiction.
Anyone 18 years of age or older with a valid picture ID and proof of opioid addiction is eligible to be admitted to the facility.
