The North Idaho Action Fund has given a grant to Boundary County Victim Services to expand services and options to crime victims.
The North Idaho Action Fund is part of the Idaho Community Foundation.
The grant will provide increased resources to connect Boundary County residents who have experienced violence to mental health resources, to help in the healing process.
These funds will also increase availability of substance abuse treatment for program participants seeking this option but unable to afford it without assistance.
Both services, mental health and substance abuse treatment, may allow crime victims the support needed to realize a healthy and safe lifestyle.
