The Oregon Community Foundation is giving $40 million in state-funded grants to summer enrichment programs.
The grants will principally support programs serving K-12 students from communities of color, low-income families and under-resourced rural communities. These populations have been disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
The objective of these grants is to target the social, emotional and educational toll on students because of the pandemic.
