Ford puts philanthropy at the North American International Auto Show where the company shows a Transit Connect painted with the Gleaners Community Food Bank for Southeastern Michigan logo, along with 40 members of Ford Volunteer Corp.
It is one of 13 Transit Connects that Ford and its dealers have donated for use by local nonprofits since 2009. The vans are being used as mobile food pantries, as diaper pickup and delivery, and as nutritional food supplements delivery to seniors in Macomb County.
