Rtd Police Chief Named President of Fbi Nonprofit Leader Education Organization

The chief of Colorado's Regional Transportation District Police Department has been elected president of the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association, KDVR reports.

"I am truly honored to serve this esteemed organization as president," says Joel Fitzgerald.

According to the Denver Post, the FBI-LEEDA is an FBI training program for municipal, state, and federal leaders of law enforcement agencies.

It offers leadership and management seminars and sessions on internal affairs, media, and public relations ethics, and supervisor liability.

In a message on the FBI-LEEDA website, Fitzgerald says " innovation will drive our efforts to continually evolve and enhance our training programs, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry standards."

In addition to being president of the FBI-LEEDA, Fitzgerald is also on the board of directors of the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police.
