The Stark County Sheriff's Office has been awarded $10,000 in funding to help fight drug trafficking.
The Ohio Office of Criminal Justice Services' RecoveryOhio program has awarded more than $2.1 million in grants to 35 local drug task forces in the state, reports the Canton Repository.
The money will be used to help officers identify high-level drug traffickers, dismantle large drug trafficking organizations, interrupt the flow of money and drugs from international cartels, and prevent the sale of illegal narcotics.
