But when it comes to using artificial intelligence in the classroom, the school isn't quite there yet.

That's because it's still in the very early stages, according to a university press release.

But that's not stopping MUSC from holding a conference in April on the use of AI in the classroom.

The main goal of the Teaching & Learning in the Age of Artificial Intelligence conference was "to deepen understanding of AI's practical applications and demonstrate how AI can simplify complex concepts effectively," according to the press release.

The conference featured traditional lectures, interactive workshops, and reflective sessions designed to deepen understanding of AI's practical applications and demonstrate how AI can simplify complex concepts effectively.

One session focused on MUSC's AI Hub, a place for faculty and students to come together to discuss and share ideas about using AI in the classroom.

The press release notes that the conference "successfully combined interactive tools with innovative learning formats, empowering attendees to harness potential interactive experiences and equipping them with the tools to harness potential efficiencies and equipping them with the tools to harness the potential of AI suitable for different educational settings."
