The NBA's Golden State Warriors have a new co-ownerand it's not because the team's star point guard is gay.

According to multiple reports, Stephen Curry and his wife, Ayesha Curry, have signed a deal with the owners of the San Francisco 49ers to buy a controlling stake in the team.

The deal, which still needs to be approved by the 49ers' owners, values the family's controlling stake in the team at more than $200 million, the New York Daily News reports.

The Currys already have a minority stake in the team, and if the team signs the deal with the owners of the 49ers, it would be the first time in the NBA's history that a team owned by a non-white would be owned by a non-white, the Daily News notes.

It would also be the first time in the NBA's history that a team owned by a non-white would be owned by a non-white.

In a statement, the 49ers said they were "thrilled and honored" to have the Currys as part of the team.

"We are very fortunate to have them as part of our family," the team said.
