A tiny-home nonprofit in North Carolina is getting $40,000 over the next two years to build three new homes for homeless people.

Pee Wee Homes will use the funds to hire a property or construction manager and offer stipends to its board members, reports the Smoking Gun.

Over half of its board members are homeless or have experienced homelessness, and the organization's mission is "to create dignified, affordable tiny homes in a caring community for people transitioning out of homelessness," per a press release from the State Employees Credit Union, which is donating the money.

Pee Wee Homes is in Orange County, and the three new homes will be located in Carrboro.
