Annual April 9 Csu Gives Campaign to Tell the Story of Philanthropy, Donor Impact

It's that time of year again: time for Columbus State University's annual 24-hour giving-day campaign, in which alumni and friends are encouraged to pony up for the school's students.

This year's goal: 540 donors to the university's fund for academic, athletics, and scholarship programs, reports the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer.

"It's a time to celebrate the impact of philanthropy on our campus and to empower today's students to be our community's future leaders," says Katie Evans, the school's director of annual giving and alumni engagement.

The university's dean of the College of Education and Health Professions, meanwhile, says she wants to bring home the Dean's Battle Trophy, which goes to the college that raises the most money on giving day.
