The Logan Health Foundation is known for its well-being programs, but it's also known for its generosity.
The Montana nonprofit recently awarded more than $17,000 in grants to 21 teachers and administrators in the Flathead Valley who plan to improve the health and well-being of their students, KRTV reports.
The Healthy Classroom grants, awarded biannually, provide $500 grants to local schools for "the creation or improvement of student-centered and staff-related healthy living initiatives," per a press release.
They'll be used to fund projects including athletic playground equipment, new cooking tools and nutrition education curriculum, new bikes wobble stools and flexible seating for students in the classroom, as well as health curriculum resources.
"When we support our schools and social educators we are investing in the well-being of our children, the prosperity of our community, and the well-being of our future generations," says Joe McClafferty, president of the Logan Health Foundation.
