A foundation in Michigan's Upper Peninsula has launched a food program aimed at boosting children's health by teaching them how to grow and prepare fruits and vegetables.
The Hancock-based Keweenaw Community Foundation will provide nutritional and long-term storage method instructions, gardening, food preparation and tasting events. Called the Sustainable Food Initiative, it is a collaboration of public schools, nonprofit and individual volunteers, local farmers, and K-12 students and educators. Read the Entire Article
