The initiative focuses on learning to eat better in the long run rather than just providing immediate choices.
Currently, the 2016 Team Nutrition Training Grant is available to continue the effort. Grants for up to $90 million have been provided partly based on success stories like the one in Michigan. This breakfast program focused on eating right and on increasing physical activity to support the positive benefits of the nutritional gains.
