Jeff Bezos is putting his money where his mouth is.
The Amazon founder and chairman of the Earth Fund announced Tuesday that he's giving $60 million to create centers at universities that will "invent our way out of climate change," his fiancee, Lauren Sanchez, tells Bloomberg.
The Bezos Centers for Sustainable Protein will "address major technological barriers to reducing cost, increasing quality, and boosting nutritional benefit of alternative proteins," according to a press release.
It's part of the Bezos Earth Fund's $1 billion commitment to "transforming food and agriculture systems in an effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions," per Forbes.
