If you've got a bad case of the blahs at work, there may be a silver lining: A study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found that having a healthy work environment can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke by 30%.
The study looked at how companies influence their workers' well-being and found that companies that had a "well-being program" had a 30% lower risk of heart attack and stroke among their employees than those that didn't, the New York Times reports.
The study also found that having a healthy work environment can reduce health care costs by 15%, Fortune reports.
The top 10 companies with the best well-being programs: Amazon: The online retailer offers fitness classes, mindfulness training, financial counseling, and on-site medical support.
Google: The tech giant offers on-site healthcare facilities, nutritious meals, fitness centers, and even access to massage therapists.
Facebook: The social media giant offers counseling, stress management programs, and other mental health benefits.
Salesforce: The customer relationship management software company offers employee assistance programs, mindfulness sessions, and regular wellness challenges.
Microsoft: The company offers virtual therapy services, fitness centers, nutrition counseling, and more.
